Dear Baby,
It has been a rather eventful few weeks! 25 seems like such a huge number, even though in pregnancy it isn't really a multiple of anything. Still rather exciting, especially since I am starting to feel you often. Your daddy got to feel you too, moving my belly all around.
During week 23 we were in Belgium and Luxembourg. It was a great trip. Pretty cool to go to a small village that your 4th great grandmother was born in while pregnant with you. Traveling was more tiring than I expected, but we still had a great time. We also have a lot to go back and see someday:-)
Week 24 was tiring. I was pretty sick from the trip and just exhausted. Not much happened.
This week I got the news that I have gestational diabetes. No fun for me. I'm not a fan of needles or blood, so this is going to be a tough 3 months. Of course I'll do anything I have to to make sure you're healthy and the diet and exercise part is easy, but testing my blood 2-4 times a day? Icky.
Short letter this week, baby boy. No internet makes for quick typing...
Love,
Mommy
Sorry to hear about the GD. I know it's not the end of the world but not something you hope to be contending with during your last trimester, either. I have my test in about a month and I'm hoping I won't have it but who knows. Do you feel any different because of it?
