I had my 28 week appointment yesterday. There was some good news: my glucose results have been good, so now I can test just once a day! My fingers are happy:-)
There was also some slightly worrisome news: The baby's abdomen in only in the 4th percentile, so pretty small. He has been measuring small since my 12 week ultrasound, so the doctor said not to worry about it. According to the sonographer, the flow from the placenta and the amniotic fluid volume, the other two things they look at if there is growth restriction, are good.
I was a very small baby (5 lb, 2 oz at 42 weeks) and my husband was on the smaller side (6-7 lbs), so this may just be genetic. Apparently they don't know that for sure until your second baby.
I am trying very hard to stay in a positive place about this. Dr. Google did not help that. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts...
So happy that everything is progressing just beautifully. You are getting closer!

DeleteThere is always something to worry about, isn't there? But don't google!!! Trust your doctor and try not to worry unless you are told you need to. Deep breaths, friend. You are getting to the end one day at a time...
ReplyDeleteSo true. Thank you!
